The WeTransfer alternative that keeps your files yours
WohSend sends large files and whole folders in original quality, like WeTransfer, but it encrypts them in your browser before they leave your device, keeps them only in the European Union and does not cap how many transfers you send each month.
| WohSend | WeTransfer |
|---|
| Free transfers per month | No monthly limit | 10 transfers or 3 GB in total, every 30 days |
|---|
| Size per free transfer | Up to 4 GB with a free account (1.5 GB without one) | Counts toward the 3 GB every 30 days |
|---|
| Password on the link | Free, on every plan | Only on the Ultimate plan |
|---|
| Download limit and expiry | Free: choose how many downloads, or delete after the first one | Custom expiration and Access Control only on Ultimate |
|---|
| Encryption | In your browser, before upload. End to end with one switch: not even WohSend can open the files | In transit (TLS) and on their servers (AES-256). Their help pages do not mention end to end encryption |
|---|
| Where files are stored | Only in the European Union | In the EU and in the US |

Why people switch to WohSend
Original quality, always
Photos, videos and RAW files arrive byte for byte as they left. Nothing is compressed, resized or converted.
Private by design
Files are encrypted in your browser. Turn on end to end and the key never reaches our servers.
Stored in Europe
Everything stays in data centres in the European Union, under European privacy law.
Folders, like on your computer
Drag files into folders before sending. The other person gets the same folders, with one download per folder or a ZIP.
Share to edit
Give someone an edit or admin link: they can add files, rename, organise into folders and even edit text files.
See before you download
Photos, videos, PDFs and code files open right on the link.
Short links
Links like wohsend.com/t/okeke: easy to read out loud, easy to type.
No account to receive
Whoever gets the link downloads straight away, on any phone or computer.
Questions
Is WohSend a good free alternative to WeTransfer?
Yes. With a free account you can send up to 4 GB per transfer with no monthly limit on the number of transfers, encrypted in your browser and stored in the EU.
Is WohSend free?
Yes. Sending is free with or without an account. Plus, Pro and Studio add bigger transfers, longer storage, your own link names and links that never expire.
Do my files lose quality?
No. WohSend never compresses or changes a file: it arrives exactly as it left.
Is it safe?
Files are encrypted in your browser before upload. With end to end encryption on, the key travels only inside the link, so not even WohSend can open them.
Where are my files stored?
Only in data centres in the European Union. They are deleted when the link expires.
